Google is discontinuing the Pixel 5.

Now Google has discontinued two of their Pixel phones, these phones are Pixel 4A 5G and Pixel 5. So the reason for discontinuing these Pixel phones is the latest phone from Google. Even now, Google has listed these two Pixel 4A 5G and Pixel 5 phones as sold out in their online store. According to the information that Google has given to the internet, instead of these phones, their new Pixel phone, Pixel 5a (5G) phone is looking to come to the online store.

So this 5A 5G phone is very similar to the 4A 5G phone in terms of features and specs. Therefore, this replacement may be the reason. Even so, the discontinuation of the Pixel 5 is a bit unusual. Because their Pixel 6 has not been released. So, this is possible because the Pixel 5 phone shares a lot of features and specs with the budget-oriented A-series phones. Although the Pixel 5 phone has features like IP68 waterproofing and wireless charging that are not available in the A-series, this Pixel 5 phone could not have enough features to compete with phones like the iPhone 12 Pro or the Galaxy S21. However, according to Google, the upcoming Pixel 6 and 6 Pro will be true flagship competitive phones.
