Google announces 50% reduction in Google account hacking due to two factor authentication enabled

On World Safer Internet Day, Google has announced in a blog post some of the steps it has taken to protect users' data.

They added that with the mandatory introduction of Two-Step Verification in late October last year, more than 150 million users were automatically added to Two-Step Verification. This service is a security method used to identify whether the password is correct when you log in to your new device with your Google Account or whether you logged in yourself. They further stated that the use of this service has significantly reduced the number of hacked Google Accounts by 50%.

Meanwhile, Google is preparing to offer some new security features to its users shortly and they are working with some of the leading companies in this regard. They will be launching an account-level enhanced browsing service with google chrome early next month, which will provide greater protection against the impact of your Google account and websites.

In addition, 9 new languages will be added to google assistant services so that its Guest mode service can be used without saving the history of your google assistant device. Google has also announced that Google Fi users will be able to locate family members using the Fi app, but a similar service is already available on Google Maps.
